If you like to make videos and you hate your nose, boy oh boy, do we have the video contest for you! Plastic surgeon Michael Salzhauer aka Dr. Schnoz, the self-proclaimed “Nose King of Miami,” has launched a video contest and is offering up free airfare to Miami, lodging and a free rhinoplasty to the winner.
Adweek explains the background on this bizarre contest. “First, Salzhauer gave the lead singer of Jewish punk-rock band the Groggers a free nose job in exchange for the band writing a song about nose jobs (“Nose Job Love Song”) and giving Salzhauer a starring role in the music video. Now, Salzhauer is taking things a step further, challenging people to make their own videos for the song.”
If you want to win that free rhinosplasty, just make a video for the song, upload it to YouTube and tweet a link to your video to Dr. Schnoz at @DrSalzhauer. The creator of the video that gets the most YouTube views wins the trip to Miami (and a brand new nose!). Salzhauer told Adweek, “I wanted to create something no other plastic surgeon has done before. Rhinoplasty is my favorite and most desired procedure. I found a way to incorporate my work into a fun and creative way to attract more patients.”
